More About Jobs in Israel
Do foreign workers have the same rights as Israeli workers?
Yes. Minimum wage, social insurance, paid sick days and annual leave apply regardless of nationality. A job offered below those legal minimums is unlawful, not a cheaper option you agreed to.
Do I have to pay to get a job?
No. Israeli law prohibits a manpower company from charging a worker for placing them in work. If anyone asks you for money for a position, for "paperwork" or for a shift, that is an offence rather than a condition of the job.
Who is my actual employer?
Your employer is the manpower company or the business that posted the vacancy: it records your hours and issues your payslip. Greeple is the software they do that in, visibly to you; the platform does not employ workers and does not pay wages.
When must I be paid?
Monthly wages are due by the 9th of the following month. From that date the wage counts as delayed, and statutory delayed-wage compensation is owed on top of the debt itself.
